The following situation happens some time. You launched you favorite word processing app on Apple tablet, start typing but nothing happens. The hint is hidden in the Bluetooth symbol at the top of iPad screen. If you have pared tablet with Bluetooth keyboard or put it into keyboard dock the onscreen virtual keyboard won’t work for ipad believes you are using a hardware keyboard. To unpair Bluetooth keyboard do the following:


    1. Tap Settings from the Home Screen.
    2. Tap General on the left-half of the main Settings screen.
    3. Tap Bluetooth on the right-half of the main Settings screen.
    4. Set Bluetooth Off ( or tap the Connected and tap forget this device).
    5. Tap grey Bluetooth arrow-button (at the top) to return to Bluetooth menu.
    6. Tap grey General arrow-button (at the top) to return to main Settings menu.
    7. Press Home button to return to the Home screen.
Now you can use virtual iPad's keyboard while typing.

Ipad Air / iPad 4 / iPad 3 / iPad mini adds one more option for typing with the use of your mouth. But first thing in the morning you should enable this feature:


    1. Tap on Settings.
    2. On the Settings submenu tap General.
    3. Scroll down the General submenu (right half of the window) to find Keyboard.
    4. Tap on Keyboard.
    5. On the Keyboard submenu find Dictation.
    6. Set Dictation to ON.
    7. Tap Enable to Agree to Apple's privacy politics.
    8. Tap Done.
    9. Use five-finger gesture to return to home screen.

From now on at the bottom of the virtual keyboard there will be a key with microphone image on it. Tap that key and start to type dictating into ipad's build-in microphone. Tap this key again to finish. Any iOS app that employs the virtual keyboard may be fed via dictation.
