Export notes from Kindle DX

Your personal account on Amazon site has a very nice feature to view both notes and highlights made on Kindle. To test this feature login into your Amazon account and go to page that holds the list of books your purchased from Amazon. On this page there are small icons (just to the right of the stars-rating area) referring to the notes and highlights. You can click one of them and see what you intend to. But what if your target is notes to books your did not purchased from Amazon. Sure they are not on Amazon site. However the solution may come very easy, just follow this tip for your Kindle DX:

  1. Using the USB cable attach your Kindle to PC/MAC.
  2. Locate My Clippings.txt file in the Kindle/Documents folder on your PC/MAC.
  3. Copy this file to computer. Read it with with your favorite txt editor. You can even edit it if your now what to edit and why you are doing this.
